Ok so here is how the morning works in the Carman house. . . wake up, watch Dora, watch Diego, watch Dora, watch Diego, get the idea. The other morning he pulled out his little chair, found the M&M's that he had in there the night before, and watched an episode of Dora. I don't know what makes those shows so appealing to children but they aren't nearly as exciting for adults. Oh well, he is learning things so it can't be all that bad, the other day he answered Dora in spanish and totally blew my mom's mind.

His newest phrase has been "Look at me". I was making breakfast the other morning and I hear him say "look at me", I walk into the living room to find him perched on the coffee table just as proud of himself as he can be. I said good job, now get down!

He has been big into dressing himself, well at least trying. He is pretty good at putting his crocs on by himself but that is about it. The other day he wanted to do it himself so he picked out 2 different shoes, and then said "pants on head?" I had to put them on his head and he thought that was the silliest thing. How can they be so darn cute?

Merry Christmas!

Ok so it has been over a week since I have written anything, blame it on the craziness of the season! Anyways we went to the Children's Museum last week with our neighbors (thanks Grandma & Papa for the membership) and had a blast. They have a super cute set up for the Holidays and Brady loved it. You can bake in Mrs Claus's kitchen, ice fish, play on the igloo and all sorts of fun things. We rode the carousel this time too, I thought he wouldn't like it, he didn't last time but that is all he has talked about since we got back. We get to go back next week with Stie, so yeah for free carousel rides!

This was in a super cute area that has a little Ice Cream Shoppe, House and Tree House for the kids to play in. We are big into the kitchen and play food, so he loved it!

Brady and Aidan were fighting crime in the comic book section!

The new favorite place, riding the horsey

Peanut Butter Balls

Ok here are a couple updates from the Carman house. . .
I have been trying to do our Christmas cards so this morning Brady jumped up at the table and took the stuff and said "I do Christmas cards" then he acted like he was looking for addresses

We usually spend Monday nights at my mom's house (Josh works late) yesterday he wanted to put on Grammy's glasses and then he sat himself down in the box that holds his play food and watched an entire Dora in the box!

I just think he is cute in this picture. We bundled up the other day and played in the snow for about 10 minutes, it took longer to get dressed!

In keeping with my dad's tradition of making peanut butter balls, Brady helped me make them this year. When we were little this was one of the best traditions (probably not for my dad, much more labor intensive for the parent) we used to love throwing the balls into the chocolate and making my dad fish them out. This year the peanut butter got a little to smooshy so Brady didn't get to throw any but he liked mixing them together and then putting them on the tray.

Back to Normal. . .

This year I have to say I am most thankful that after a week my family is back to normal. Josh was down with a NASTY virus for almost 8 days including Thanksgiving. I quarantined him to our room and spent a majority of the time taking care of him, Brady and escaping to my moms (thanks mom!). Brady and I did Thanksgiving on our own with the help of all the family. We started the day at Grandma and Papaw's, then went to my grandparents (GG & GGpa's) and ended the night at my dads. Thanks to our neighbors for bringing Josh a plate! All things considered it was a great Thanksgiving and wonderful to spend time with everyone!

Brady and GG were having in depth conversations, he thought she was very funny!

We put up all our Christmas decorations on Saturday, Brady tried to be the Christmas tree but couldn't hold still enough. He loves our tree and plays with his nativity scene that GG got him last year.
We got to play in the first snow of the season on Sunday, not for long because it was very wet but he had been dying to go out all day long! After he threw a fit and I convinced him that crocs were not the best idea for playing in the snow, we got bundled up and went out for about 10 mins. He loved it and is ready for more snow!

More Boots

Brady found my boots again, put them on and then said "mommy take a picture". Of course since he asked I had to take a picture of him in my boots again. It is funny the things they remember. He also likes to look at himself on my camera so he wanted to "see Brady". I told him to stick out his tongue and I took a picture, thus the picture below! Happy weekend to all!

Two Year Old Pictures

Some super cute pictures from his 2-year old session. We went out with our neighbors and got some really great shots of all the kids!

Being Sick, Boots & Big Boy Beds. . .

I know it has been awhile since I have written anything. We spent a majority of last week sick, no fun! Brady was running a 103 temp and miserable. We got up every morning around 4am, (no fun for mommy) I would go in his room and he would tell me "Brady all done nigh night". This lasted about 4 days and then he was fine, I think we pumped him so full of tylenol and motrin he had no choice but to get rid of the fever. When he felt better he found my boots and thought he needed to wear them first on his hands, then his feet. Note the pics below, cute but not very practical.

On happier notes, at least for Brady, he got his big boy bed yesterday. It makes mommy kinda sad to know her little boy is growing up so quickly, but Brady loves his new bed. He made it the first night without crawling out and is succesfully taking a nap right now, hopefully that will last and he won't be appearing in our room before the sun rises!

Towards the end of being sick, he got to have pacie back while he didn't feel good.

Walking and crawling around in mommy's boots. It was a little difficult but very funny!

The big boy bed and room. I did it while he was at school and grandma's yesterday so he was very excited to see it when he came home

We took our second trip to the Children's Museum the other day. This time we took Grandma and Papaw and Papa. It was a fun trip. Brady got into all the things more this time than the last time he was there. He really liked the Playscape area and the Science Works. Thanks to Grandma and Papaw we can go back whenever we want, Brady got a membership for his birthday!

My two little couch potatos, Josh wasn't feeling great so I guess he's allowed to sit down, Brady well he never stops!

Sitting in the tractor just like Papaws, he couldn't figure out why it wasn't moving like Papaws when he moved the bars.

Happy Halloween

Halloween started off on Thursday with carving the pumpkins. Brady picked out what he wanted his pumpkin to look like and helped scoop out the gooey insides.

Happy Halloween from a very cute Mater! Brady had a great time trick or treating with Hailey and Aidan, and all the other neighborhood kids. We had his costume for almost a month before halloween and he refused to wear it, so on friday we told him that if he wanted to go trick or treating he had to wear his costume, it worked and he loved it. He went to the doors and said trick or treat, then was very polite and always said thank you! He wanted to go trick or treating again on Saturday. After trick or treating Papa and Mr Jeff had the fire set up in our driveway, Brady got to roast marshmellows and play with the cul-de-sac kids. A great friday night and Halloween.

Saturday night we went over to Josh's bosses parents house for a little halloween get together. Brady had a great time playing with all the kids, and loved dancing in the garage with everyone to the Halloween music. He and Beau had fun being non stop boys together.

Dancing in his Mater costume. He refused to wear it most of the night, then towards the end he told Papa to go get it from the car, Brady put it on, ran into the garage made a funny grand entrance, danced to one song then took the costume off and said all done! What a ham!
