Tis the Season. . .

Oh the joys of the season! We have had a wonderful Christmas season thus far. We visited Christmas at the Zoo (on probably the coldest day yet), the Children's Museum, built a snowman and had Christmas in Lafayette with my family. Busy, busy, busy but fun.

We did Christmas in Lafayette with my family on Saturday. Brady got alot of wonderful presents and did such a good job of waiting to open them until it was time. Stie got him Candy Land and he loves playing (it is the first game that he will actually sit down and play). Yaya got him a chainsaw and tool set (he loves to chase people with the chainsaw. . .fun!) and Grammy got him several wonderful car related toys (most likely his favorites)!

We had our first "big" snow of the year and Brady loves, loves, loves playing in it! He went out with Papa just to help shovel and ended up building a snowman too. It has snowed 2 times since then and he has had to go out and play both times!

Christmas at the Museum oh what fun. He loves playing in the kitchen and brushing the reindeer. The big slide is a favorite too!

Christmas at the Zoo was pretty fun. We had to choose probably the coldest night of the season so far but we had fun. Brady liked all the lights and the train ride but was slightly disappointed that he wouldn't see the animals. We bundled up from head to toe and braved the cold.

Updates. . .

Brady got to move into a "big" boy room, complete with a double bed and tv, what a life for a 3 year old. Anyways he got to pick out what he wanted his room to be so he picked trucks, I know surprise, surprise! We painted the room yellow and then he made his own art to put on the wall. He got to drive his trucks through the paint and then drive them on a canvas. Let me say it turned out pretty cute and he was very proud!

The other morning Brady decided that we needed to make pancakes for breakfast. So together we made pancakes adn then he wanted his picture taken while eating his pancakes.

My boys decorated the Christmas tree the other night while I got to lay on the couch and nap! Brady is such a good helper and so eager to help us in anyway that he can, I love it!

Happy Halloween and other things!

We had a great Halloween, Brady loved trick-or-treating, carving the pumpkin and hanging out with friends. We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend to get our pumpkins. Brady picked out some great pumpkins, rode all the tractors, played in the corn and had a great time! He got to ride the yellow tractor which made him extremely happy since yellow is his favorite color!

Trying to decide which pumpkin he can carry, it was super muddy since it had just rained for probably 3 days straight.

We carved our pumpkins and Brady thought he needed to wear his "weeder" goggles just incase the pumpkin goo got in his eyes. . . such a funny kid!

He was very excited to go as a bunch of grapes for Halloween, everyone commented on how cute and original he was. . . thanks mom for the idea (we were grapes one year when we were little)!

I can't believe my little guy is 3! We celebrated Brady's 3rd birthday this weekend. He is now officially a "big boy". He was so excited for his party he could hardly stand it. He tried to get in the cupcakes more times than I can count. We had bought a bouncer for his party, since October is supposed to be such nice weather, but had to blow it up inside thanks to crappy cold weather! Oh well the kids still had a great time and at least we purchased the bouncer instead of rented one, now we can use it again. He got lots of wonderful gifts and loved every minute of his special day. Happy 3rd Birthday Brady!

My dad got him a weedeater complete with safety goggles. He had to wear the goggles so the grass wouldn't get in his eyes while he was "weeding".

Grandma and Papaw got him a motorized digger and backhoe, complete with the "Bob the Builder" music when you turn the ignition. He loves it. We had to take it down to the dirt so he could dig yesterday, so much fun!

Honky Tonk & More

Ok so I have been horrible at posting, sorry! The last month has been neither eventful nor boring just laid back and enjoyable. We have a running joke in our family that Aunt Sarah is Honky Tonk because she lives in Lafayette, so the other day Brady starts crossing his eyes and shaking around saying "this is what honky tonks do" (I swear I did not prompt him to do anything). Thankfully he did it again so I could get it on video. He also thought he needed to wear his size 12 month Mickey Mouse shirt and 12 month overalls the other day while I was trying to put his clothes away. He wanted to look honkey tonk.

Working out with Papa, he thought he needed to lift some weights the other night, note the much too small shirt (same as in the above picture). We had to really stretch to get out of it.
Brady and Gabrielle, they pulled out the Wii Fit board and climbed on then told me to take a picture as they were hugging, very cute!

Washing the dishes, he really is quite helpful. He loves to fill up the sink and spray all the dishes, I don't mind

His awesome new bouncer for his Birthday party. We had to try it out a couple times to make sure it was bouncy enough. Unfortunately I think we might have to set it up inside this weekend, what's up with 48 degree weather in October, where did fall go?

The Lahrman's. . . Sarah's Wedding!

So my littlest sis got married this weekend! The wedding was in Lafayette and absolutely perfect! She was beautiful, everyone cried, nothing went wrong. . . perfect! Brady was the ring bearer and almost did it but back out at the last minute, crowds just aren't his thing. He did go down the isle with me carrying him and sat quiet and still for the whole ceremony. I think he was more concerned about getting to the reception and dancing, that is all he wanted to do the whole weekend. There isn't much more to say than the weekend was wonderful and everything turned out just right. Congrats Sarah and Scott, love you both!

Sarah was surprisingly calm before the wedding, she didn't really start to freak until Father Dan came and said it was time to go, then I think it sank in.

Brady in his handsome brown tux/suit. He wanted to wear it the minute I brought it home so I had to convince him to wait until the wedding. He was very handsome!

They got a trolley instead of a limo for everyone to ride in from the ceremony to the reception. I think it was one of the neatest things about the wedding, we got to just chill and drink for about an hour before the reception began.

Can you tell from Scotts face he was done taking pictures? And they hadn't even done that many. . . boys!

The reception was awesome! Scott carried Sarah in on his shoulders and kicked the night off right. The hall looked beautiful, the food was great and the dancing went all night! Brady kept wanting to sit up at the head table, he really wanted Sarah to cut the cake, he was dying to have a piece. When they went down to cut the cake he stood up on his chair and said "Aunt Sarah cut the cake", while they were doing all the cake pics and other stuff he wasn't interested in:) He danced until I made him go upstairs, he probably would have stayed all night if I had let him. . . mean old mom!

State Fair!

We went to the State Fair last weekend with Grandma and Papaw. It was at least 90 degrees and humid but we had a great time none the less. Brady loved all the tractors and would have stayed there the whole day if we had let him. He really got into all the rides and games this year too. We rode the Strawberries (they spin), the Big Rig Trucks and the Big Slide. He would have kept going but at $5 a ride we had to stop somewhere!

Painting

So it has been a couple weeks since I posted, and this was the last really cool, different thing we have done so here goes. . . A couple weeks ago we got out a bunch of washable paint and an old bed sheet, cooked some spaghetti and invited over some friends, it was messy and so much fun. The kids had a blast getting paint everywhere, throwing the spaghetti and making a wonderful mess. They had so much paint on them that we stripped all of them and let them run through the sprinkler to wash off all the paint. Wonderfully messy and absolutely a blast!

Lake of the Ozarks

We took a chance and tried our first car ride vacation with a toddler. Josh's mom and I braved the 8 hour drive to the Lake of the Ozarks and the Moloney family reunion. Brady did 1000 times better than I ever could have imagined. We left at 3:30 am thinking that he would fall back to sleep in the car and sleep part of the way. . . WRONG! He stayed awake the entire time except for two 20 minute cat naps. The rest of the time he was wonderful, not even any fits! We had a great time while we where there. We got to swim, play on the "beach", go fishing, throw rocks, everything Brady loves to do. He also got to play with all his cousins. . . so much fun! Uncle Tim & Chris rented jet ski's one day so Brady got to "drive" the motorcycle in the lake. He liked it for the first part and then wanted off. Needless to say he was worn out for the ride home!

Swimming with Sydney in the lake. He thought he was very big!

The view from the house was amazing, you could lay in the hammock on the porch and see the lake and all the hills/mountains. . . wonderful!
