It's a Girl!!!!

Ok so I won't post the telltale shot that we are having a girl, but I thought I would post a couple pictures from today. I can't believe we are already half way through and in a few short months we will get to meet our little girl. Now let the shopping begin, I just can't bring myself to put a little girl in boy clothes!

Keeping Busy

How do you entertain a 3 year old, while constantly being stuck inside? Easy just think up some of the messiest yet fun things to do. So far this winter we have painted with balls, cars and feet, played in shaving cream, painted the snow and numerous other messy "boy" activities!
Didn't anyone tell you not to lick "yellow snow". . . food color and water in squirt bottles makes a lot of fun in the snow!Shaving cream and trucks makes for a great time. He was a little timid at first and then he realized he could get as messy as possible. . . so much fun!
A box, paper, and some paint makes for some not so messy fun! He loved rolling the trucks and balls in the paint. Then he wanted to paint with his feet so we stripped down and jumped in. Following all the messy activities is "cleaning up" in the sink, one of Brady's most favorite things to do!

Oh yes we also went to a pottery place the other day with Grammy and made a mosaic lizard and painted a race car piggy bank. He is in love with the piggy bank, all we do now is take the money out and put the money in!

Snow!

Snow! Brady loves it so we got bundled up and played for almost an hour! His favorite part was when I taught him to lick the clean snow. . . see below pictures!

Christmas, Pretzels, Ice Cream, Paint. . .

The prize of Christmas. . . the power wheel Lightning McQueen that he can drive. This puts the total number of power wheel vehicles that he owns to 4! That is more than the number of cars that Josh and I both will own in our lifetime probably! The best part is they have all been free-thanks to Grandma and her boss who has grandchildren that are no longer using them!
Like father like son. . . it doesn't matter really what is on the tv, both Brady and Josh will just zone out and stare. I believe this was Brady's Curious George movie that Grammy got him. Notice the robe. . . we call him Lil Hef.

The one and only best present for kids and adults alike. . . a remote controlled bulldozer that is the loudest toy we own and gets played with the most!

Making Auntie Annes pretzels with Grammy. He had a wonderful time kneading the dough, rolling it out and cutting it. The he made his very own little pretzels. They turned out really well and were super tasty!

Making homemade ice cream with Hailey and Aidan. Who knew that a baggie full of ice and rock salt would turn cream, sugar and vanilla into super tasty ice cream! The kids loved making it and the outcome is wonderful!
Keeping busy on these horribly cold and snowy days. . . how many more until spring? Today we painted and then I let Brady clean up, which included painting in the sink and probably making a bigger mess than the actual painting process had but oh well, it was fun and it passed the time! We also built a huge road throughout the downstairs of our house, it's a mess but again fun and time consuming!

Tis the Season. . .

Oh the joys of the season! We have had a wonderful Christmas season thus far. We visited Christmas at the Zoo (on probably the coldest day yet), the Children's Museum, built a snowman and had Christmas in Lafayette with my family. Busy, busy, busy but fun.

We did Christmas in Lafayette with my family on Saturday. Brady got alot of wonderful presents and did such a good job of waiting to open them until it was time. Stie got him Candy Land and he loves playing (it is the first game that he will actually sit down and play). Yaya got him a chainsaw and tool set (he loves to chase people with the chainsaw. . .fun!) and Grammy got him several wonderful car related toys (most likely his favorites)!

We had our first "big" snow of the year and Brady loves, loves, loves playing in it! He went out with Papa just to help shovel and ended up building a snowman too. It has snowed 2 times since then and he has had to go out and play both times!

Christmas at the Museum oh what fun. He loves playing in the kitchen and brushing the reindeer. The big slide is a favorite too!

Christmas at the Zoo was pretty fun. We had to choose probably the coldest night of the season so far but we had fun. Brady liked all the lights and the train ride but was slightly disappointed that he wouldn't see the animals. We bundled up from head to toe and braved the cold.

Updates. . .

Brady got to move into a "big" boy room, complete with a double bed and tv, what a life for a 3 year old. Anyways he got to pick out what he wanted his room to be so he picked trucks, I know surprise, surprise! We painted the room yellow and then he made his own art to put on the wall. He got to drive his trucks through the paint and then drive them on a canvas. Let me say it turned out pretty cute and he was very proud!

The other morning Brady decided that we needed to make pancakes for breakfast. So together we made pancakes adn then he wanted his picture taken while eating his pancakes.

My boys decorated the Christmas tree the other night while I got to lay on the couch and nap! Brady is such a good helper and so eager to help us in anyway that he can, I love it!

Happy Halloween and other things!

We had a great Halloween, Brady loved trick-or-treating, carving the pumpkin and hanging out with friends. We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend to get our pumpkins. Brady picked out some great pumpkins, rode all the tractors, played in the corn and had a great time! He got to ride the yellow tractor which made him extremely happy since yellow is his favorite color!

Trying to decide which pumpkin he can carry, it was super muddy since it had just rained for probably 3 days straight.

We carved our pumpkins and Brady thought he needed to wear his "weeder" goggles just incase the pumpkin goo got in his eyes. . . such a funny kid!

He was very excited to go as a bunch of grapes for Halloween, everyone commented on how cute and original he was. . . thanks mom for the idea (we were grapes one year when we were little)!

I can't believe my little guy is 3! We celebrated Brady's 3rd birthday this weekend. He is now officially a "big boy". He was so excited for his party he could hardly stand it. He tried to get in the cupcakes more times than I can count. We had bought a bouncer for his party, since October is supposed to be such nice weather, but had to blow it up inside thanks to crappy cold weather! Oh well the kids still had a great time and at least we purchased the bouncer instead of rented one, now we can use it again. He got lots of wonderful gifts and loved every minute of his special day. Happy 3rd Birthday Brady!

My dad got him a weedeater complete with safety goggles. He had to wear the goggles so the grass wouldn't get in his eyes while he was "weeding".

Grandma and Papaw got him a motorized digger and backhoe, complete with the "Bob the Builder" music when you turn the ignition. He loves it. We had to take it down to the dirt so he could dig yesterday, so much fun!

Honky Tonk & More

Ok so I have been horrible at posting, sorry! The last month has been neither eventful nor boring just laid back and enjoyable. We have a running joke in our family that Aunt Sarah is Honky Tonk because she lives in Lafayette, so the other day Brady starts crossing his eyes and shaking around saying "this is what honky tonks do" (I swear I did not prompt him to do anything). Thankfully he did it again so I could get it on video. He also thought he needed to wear his size 12 month Mickey Mouse shirt and 12 month overalls the other day while I was trying to put his clothes away. He wanted to look honkey tonk.

Working out with Papa, he thought he needed to lift some weights the other night, note the much too small shirt (same as in the above picture). We had to really stretch to get out of it.
Brady and Gabrielle, they pulled out the Wii Fit board and climbed on then told me to take a picture as they were hugging, very cute!

Washing the dishes, he really is quite helpful. He loves to fill up the sink and spray all the dishes, I don't mind

His awesome new bouncer for his Birthday party. We had to try it out a couple times to make sure it was bouncy enough. Unfortunately I think we might have to set it up inside this weekend, what's up with 48 degree weather in October, where did fall go?
