Little Stinker

Brady's school put on their annual musical this weekend. Brady was supposed to be "Bob the Builder" and "Diego". He would sing and dance in the car and at home, we got the musical and he did NOTHING! Grandma had to bribe him with a big new truck just to get him on stage. The rest of the musical was cute, hopefully next year Brady will participate!

This is what everyone came to see. . . how exciting!

Indy 500 Weekend!

Brady's school did a Mini 500 for all the kids on Friday. They rope off the parking lots and each class gets to ride the bikes around the "track" in the parking lot. He loved riding the Lightning McQueen "bike" around for the race. The first lap around Stie had to push him, then he crossed the finish line and wanted to race again, so they raced again and he was off the start line before they could say go! After the races they had a cookout for all the kids and their families. It was a great way to kick off the 500 weekend.

On Saturday we went to the 500 Festival Parade, it was kind of hot but not horrible. Brady had a great time and really loved the big balloons and of course the Purdue band played with the trains (he loved the trains), we at least convinced him to call them the "stinky" trains! His favorite balloon was Sponge Bob, the picture of just him is what his face looked like when he saw the Sponge Bob balloon!

We had a wonderful weekend, it was such a great way to kick off the summer. . . yea!!!

Ahhhhh Summer!

I think the title says it all. . . ahhhh summer! The weather has been wonderful this week and yesterday Brady broke me and we got out the pool! He was beyond excited and I got to take some time and get a couple cute pictures. I'm going to ramble about how truly blessed I feel to be able to stay home with Brady and watch him grow and enjoy the simple things in life. I love the neighborhood and street that we live on. . . (18 kids under the age of 8 on our street alone). He loves to be outside and now that the weather is warm he is a happy kid, we spend most of the day and evening outside playing with our neighbors. Sometimes I just sit back and watch the pure happiness and excitment that the small things bring to Brady and thank God for the wonderful things he has given me! Anyways enough rambling here are some pictures. . .

Posing for GQ. . .

Brady was being super cute in his pool. He would bend over and put his hair in the water, water the grass with his watering can because "it looked thirsty" and "swimming"

Just a couple cute pictures. . .

Playing with the neighbors. . .
Eating "chocolate pie" with Aidan (our neighbor and one of Brady's best friends)

A random picture of Josh and Brady, I dressed Brady and then Josh without knowing (so he claims) put on the same outfit! Father and son matching day!

Just like Aunt Sarah!

Brady got out his Elmo music player the other day and started dancing over and over to "Shout". I grabbed the camera and thankfully he gave another performance. The video reminds me of a video my mom took of my sister Sarah dancing in our living room by herself to Mickey, she was a little older but still very cute. Brady is getting to be a good dancer, his moves have grown from just bouncing up and down to moving his arms. Very Cute!

I got a hammock to put on our patio as an early Mother's Day gift. It is wonderful and of course Brady thinks he needs to sit in it too! I love the expression on his face, he is growing up so quickly I can hardly believe it.

One of his new favorite games is "Ring Around the Rosie". We went to his gym the other day with our friends Hailey and Aidan and he was trying to teach Aidan how to play, they really just liked spinning in circles and falling down!

He decided that he needed to sleep in his bed backwards the other day. I didn't think he would stay that way but when I came up to check on him he had put his pillows together and was sleeping on them at the end of his bed. Apparently he slept in his rocking chair the other day too! What a silly boy!

Tattoos. . .

We did tattoos today and Brady wanted to put them everywhere, so we did! He now has tattoos on his hands, arms, face and stomach, very cute if you ask me. He is growing up so fast it seems hard to believe that he is already 2 1/2!

Any nice weather that we get we love to be outside. Brady's favorite place this year seems to be the playground. We don't have a playground in our neighborhood but there is one in the neighborhood next to us, just a short walk away. So it works out nicely for both of us, I get to walk/run to the playground, we play and then we walk/run home. . . exercise and play all together. . . great!

Happy Easter

Easter was great, busy but good. We got to spend time with Josh's family and my family and Brady loved it all. He was busy preparing for the easter bunny and hunting eggs ALL day on sunday (he got to do 3 egg hunts on sunday alone!) Here are some pics from the festivities. . .

We made cookies and brownies to take with us, the balloon in the picture above is tied to his waist, he wanted to tie it to him so he wouldn't have to hold it. He loved licking the spatula from the brownie bowl.

We colored eggs with Grammy and Stie, Brady kept sticking his hands in the dye to get the eggs so he had "monster" hands. They were black for 2 days!

The easter bunny came to our house and hid eggs and a basket. Brady liked hunting for them and then he thought it was really great becuase he got to eat some of his candy for breakfast, he even got to open the chocolate bunny and eat some!

Our first stop of the day was at Josh's Green Grandma's and Papa Tim's where Brady got to play with his 2nd cousins. It is nice that he has some kids just a couple years older then he is to play with, they are the only cousins he has. He really liked hanging with the big kids, especially when they started beating up on Papa.

Grandma found special eggs for Brady this year, they are real eggs with confetti in them that he got to "crack" on everyone. I believe he has been through roughly 6 dozen of these eggs!

Our second stop of the day was to Grammy's for another egg hunt and dinner with my family. Sarah and "stinky" Scott came down from Lafayette, Stie and Sam were there and we got to hang out and spend some time together. Unlike Josh's side Brady is the only kid for these functions, so he has no one to play with but he is the king of the house with everyone at his beck and call-life doesn't get any better!
The easter bunny brought Brady a Thomas bubble blower that toots as it blows bubbles, he had to try it out. Along with the Silly String that Grammy got him- he loves his silly string-although it is a major mess!

Easter Egg Hunt!

We had a cul-de-sac egg hunt this weekend for the kids of the street. Brady loved it and got very into finding the eggs. The weather was wonderful and just being outside with everyone again made me realize how blessed we are to live on a street where everyone gets along and there are so many kids for Brady to play with and grow up around. On our cul-de-sac alone there are 17 kids not including Brady under the age of 8, with at least 2 more on the way (no not us). Anyways the kids had a great time hunting for the eggs and then everyone migrated to the front of the houses and the kids played, oh how I can't wait for it to be warm all the time! So here are a couple pics from the egg hunt. . .enjoy! The group for the egg hunt, what a cute and wonderful bunch of kids!

"Look at those silly kids playing! Do you want to go play man? Nah do you? Nah why should we play when we can eat our candy!"
Everyone was playing on the playset after the egg hunt, except Brady and Aidan, they were smart and just plopped down on the grass and started digging into their eggs!

Random picture from our picnic today. Brady wanted to eat in his lightning mcqueen chair so we made a table out of the bench and had a "picnic" in the living room!

Things

Check out the outfit. . . Brady picked out his outfit the other day. He wanted to wear his mixer shirt and his star jeans. When the jeans wouldn't stay up he decided that he should wear his suspenders (how smart is he) then to finish the outfit off he felt he needed to wear his Lightning McQueen boots. He was pretty cute!
He thought he needed to wear his suspenders the next day too, eventhough these pants stayed up. He also wanted to wear a hat like papa so he picked out his cute dinosaur hat that GG got him.
He wanted to eat breakfast in his Lightning McQueen chair so we decided to pull the bench out and make a table.

Aunt Sarah got me some wine for my birthday, I had a glass the other night and Brady thought he needed to have some too, so we compromised and he got to drink juice from a wine glass, he thought he was pretty cool!

Josh made me a Chocolate Drizzle cake for my birthday (recipe courtesy of Aunt Stie), the drizzle turned into more of a drop and then Brady thought it needed candles so he put the ones he wanted on the cake.

Ok so we have been busy since returning from Florida, we had Josh's birthday, Brady went to the circus and just been busy. We spent 4 hours outside on Saturday since the weather was wonderful 70 degrees and beautiful, makes us miss Florida and GG and GGpa. So here are a couple pics from our recent adventures.
We made cookies to take to Grammy's tonight, Brady dumped the flour in and missed the bowl.

I wore a hat the other day so Brady thought he needed to wear his hat, he is adorable with it on.

We made a cake for Papa for his birthday. Brady got mad because he wanted to lick the icing off the cake and mommy made him wait until papa got home. Josh got home and started licking the icing so Brady got excited and had to have his turn!
