Birthday's, Bath's and Pumpkins

Happy Birthday to the best boy ever! We celebrated Brady's 4th birthday last week. It is hard to believe that he is 4, it seems like just yesterday we were driving back and forth to the NICU to be with him. Now he is a wonderful little boy (not a baby or toddler anymore), very determined in whatever he does, and always quick to make you laugh. We couldn't ask for a better son!

He only wanted his "grown ups" at his party, no friends, so we had a family party and he got to be the center of attention all afternoon!

We had tatoos that he got to put on his cheeks. He thought he was pretty cool!

On his actual birthday we went duck pin bowling and out to dinner, without Alyssa (she got to stay with Grandma and Papaw). He loved it and actually beat Josh and I in a game (no letting him win either)!

Alyssa got to take a short bath with Brady in the big tub the other nights. She really likes her bath now and loves to splash around. So you can imagine how much
she loved playing in the big bath tub!

We went to the Pumpkin Patch today. As we were walking through this corn maze it started raining, so we covered up with the umbrella (Brady's idea) then found our way out when the rain was done.

Alyssa got a Bumbo seat and absolutely loves it. She always wants to be up and looking around so this is perfect for her.

It's not everyday you see something like this in your backyard (well 2 houses down)! The kids got to get up close and touch the balloon, it was really exciting!

How cute is she. . . she now rolls over from her tummy to her back, so big!

Brady played soccer this summer, he is quite good!

Water Park & A New Toy

We went to the Monon Center water park today, per Brady's request. He loves the water and had a great time swimming and going down the kiddie water slide. He even started swimming on his on towards the end. He put his face in, circled his arms and kicked his feet. . . getting so big! Alyssa slept most of the time and then splashed around for a little at the end. . . again getting so big!

We got out Brady's old car toy for Alyssa and he had to try it to make sure it still worked. It's a good thing he is a 3lb 4 year old and won't break all the little toys!

Then Alyssa got a turn, she couldn't really reach the toys but liked being up and looking around!

Alyssa is all smiles and giggles now. She loves talking to anybody who will pay attention to her! Such a wonderful little girl who now sleeps through the night. . . yea!

For those who keep asking. . .

Ok so it has been a couple weeks and per some requests here is what we have been up to. . . swimming, waterpark, play gym, library, the list goes on and on! Alyssa still sleeps through most of the things Brady and I do and is generally still a good (non fussy) baby. Brady is loving summer and playing with his friends, just about everyday. We are definately keeping busy and having tons of fun!

Brady loves playing Mario Kart on the Wii, he is always wanting to get a trophy, well he accomplished it this weekend! He raced 4 races and came in 2nd overall. . . good job! Needless to say he was VERY proud of himself!

We went to the Monon Center (waterpark) a couple weeks ago with our neighbors, Brady loved it and got very upset when it started to storm so we had to leave. He was also a little mad that he wasn't tall enough to ride the slides, bummer!

We've been swimming a couple times at Uncle Ray's (Hailey and Aidan's uncle) pool. Brady is a fish, jumping in by himself without any floaties and no one catching him! Alyssa usually just sleeps in the stroller.

When left to entertain himself this is what happens, what a silly guy!

No, they don't usually sleep like this but I had brought Alyssa upstairs to wake up Brady and went to change the laundry and this is what I came back to, two wonderfully beautiful babies alseep!
