Busy. . .

Having 2 kids hasn't seemed to slow us down any, especially when we have Grammy helping chase after Brady this week! We have been on the go all week and it is thanks to Grammy for coming up and helping us do things this week! Come Monday Brady is going to be in for a shock, it is just the 3 of us then but until that time, here is what we have been up to!
Making mud pies with Grammy.
Hanging out with Alyssa. . . thankfully he still likes her!
Riding in style, no better way to keep cool on such hot days!

Columbian Park in Lafayette. We visited Aunt Yaya (Sarah) for the day yesterday and Brady had a blast at the Zoo, park and playing in the water.

Having a picnic with Yaya!

Outing to the Splash Park. . . of course she had to wear her swim suit!

Being Brady. . . he took a bath one night and found the shower cap. He had to put it on of course and run around nakie for a minute! Gotta love his goofiness!

And now Alyssa. . .

Gotta love dressing up one of the most precious little girls in the whole world! I just can't get enough of this little girl!

Keeping Busy

Thanks to Grandma, we have been keeping busy this week! She has been up everyday this week to help and play with Brady. Today we went for a walk, played mud in the driveway and did the slip and slide in the backyard! Yesterday we went for a littel field trip to Grandma's and Papaw's, it was good to get out and have a change of scenery. Next week we get to play with Grammy all week and then it is back to just boring old mom and a new little baby. . . oh my!
He's not drowning, he liked to put his head under in the little pool at the end of the slip and slide!
The slip and slide was more of a run and jump. He never really got the hang of running and sliding on his tummy but it was fun none the less!
Making mud paintings on the sidewalk, Brady thought this was great!

Welcome Alyssa!

Welcome to the world Alyssa Marie Carman! Born yesterday, June 3rd, at 11:38 am. She weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20 inches long. She hardly cries, loves her big brother and is so laid back we don't really know what to think! Everyone is doing great!

The best Big Brother in the world! Brady can't get enough of her, all he wants to do is hold her and love on her, what a lucky little girl!

Her first purse, thanks Aunt Sarah!
Gotta love the shoes! We thought they would be too small but they fit perfectly.

How cute is she? I just can't get enough of her sweetness! We are so blessed to have 2 wonderful, healthy children. What a great family!

Welcome summer!

Love the warm weather, well except for the heat, humidity and swelling that I get, but Brady sure does love being outside and playing in the water! We blew up his pool, had over his friends and played! What a great way to kick off the summer!
Brady: "Mom, can I have some goggles?"
Me: "I'm sorry love, I we don't have any. I'll have to get you some."
Brady: "Yes, the ones that go to my weeder, blower and chainsaw, you know"
Me: "Ok, if that is what you want"
So that is how he came to wear pretend safety goggles to go swimming in the blow up pool! He looked hilarious, but I have to admit it was a good idea!

Playing with Aidan and Gabrielle, it is wonderful how well they all get along. We are blessed to have such great neighbors, who are not only friends but have children that Brady is friends with!

Family Pictures

My mom took some family pictures of us the other week and they turned out awesome! I wanted some pictures of our family now, before we grew, and some pictures of my rather large belly. Thanks for the great pics mom!

Sandbox

Josh, with a little help from Brady, built a wonderful new sandbox today. We had a small sandbox that Brady had outgrown a long time ago, so the project for the weekend was to create a new one. Brady loves to dig, dump and do anything boy, so the sandbox is one of his favorite places. Of course he had to help, but Josh is the one that did all the work! It's a great sandbox, and Brady loves it!

The Zoo!

Brady and I took a special trip to the Zoo on Thursday. It is a lot of fun to be able to spend this special one on one time with him before the baby comes. A lot of the animals were on "vacation" but he had a great time seeing the fish, sharks, walruses, riding the train and running across the bumpy bridge. After the zoo we took a picnic and met Papa for lunch. It was a busy but fun day!

Mulch!

We re-mulched the landscaping last weekend. Of course Brady thought he needed to help and he was really a huge help. He loaded up his wagon with Grandma then spread the mulch around all the trees. He helped the whole time! When it was over he had to climb on the huge mulch pile in the back of Papaw's truck. Needless to say a bath was in store when he was done!
