The Zoo!

Brady and I took a special trip to the Zoo on Thursday. It is a lot of fun to be able to spend this special one on one time with him before the baby comes. A lot of the animals were on "vacation" but he had a great time seeing the fish, sharks, walruses, riding the train and running across the bumpy bridge. After the zoo we took a picnic and met Papa for lunch. It was a busy but fun day!

Mulch!

We re-mulched the landscaping last weekend. Of course Brady thought he needed to help and he was really a huge help. He loaded up his wagon with Grandma then spread the mulch around all the trees. He helped the whole time! When it was over he had to climb on the huge mulch pile in the back of Papaw's truck. Needless to say a bath was in store when he was done!

Benihana's

We went to Benihanas for Josh and my birthdays this it last weekend. It is one of my all time favorite places to eat, and Brady loved it too! He got a kick out of watching the chef cook our dinner at the table. Thanks to the family for joining us. . . it was great!

This is his brain freeze face after eating too much ice cream. . . love the moustache!

Beach, Golf, Ice Cream

We made it to the beach today! He aboslutely loved it, even went swimming in the ocean! The high today was in the low 70's so this is how we started out at the beach. . .

and this is how he ended up. . .
He had a great time running in the water and getting wet. Then we wrapped up in a towel and dug in the sand! So much fun. . . we are going back tomorrow!

What is a trip to Florida without Ice Cream from the Royal "Poop". I have been going here since I was little and it is some of the best ice cream!

We went putt-putt the other day, he played all 18 holes and got a "Hole in 1!!!" Yea for him!

Florida. . .

Having a great time in Florida. . . the weather is a little chilly but warmer than home! We just had to go to the beach yesterday (Brady was dying to go). We got there he walked out onto the beach and decided it was time to go. . . too cold! We braved the chill a little last night to play on the playground before dinner. Today it was to the park to dig and play, while Papa and Gpa played golf. He had a great time digging and playing on the slides! The weather is still chilly but we are enjoying ourselves. Tomorrow it is off to the zoo, then the beach later this week when it warms up!

He just had to fish, so we fished for about 5 minutes and then decided it was too cold!

We played sidewalk chalk and made a hopscotch that we had to bounce on a lot!

Making brownies for Papa's birthday! Happy birthday Papa!

Playing air hockey with GG, he is having a great time with them!

It's a Girl!!!!

Ok so I won't post the telltale shot that we are having a girl, but I thought I would post a couple pictures from today. I can't believe we are already half way through and in a few short months we will get to meet our little girl. Now let the shopping begin, I just can't bring myself to put a little girl in boy clothes!

Keeping Busy

How do you entertain a 3 year old, while constantly being stuck inside? Easy just think up some of the messiest yet fun things to do. So far this winter we have painted with balls, cars and feet, played in shaving cream, painted the snow and numerous other messy "boy" activities!
Didn't anyone tell you not to lick "yellow snow". . . food color and water in squirt bottles makes a lot of fun in the snow!Shaving cream and trucks makes for a great time. He was a little timid at first and then he realized he could get as messy as possible. . . so much fun!
A box, paper, and some paint makes for some not so messy fun! He loved rolling the trucks and balls in the paint. Then he wanted to paint with his feet so we stripped down and jumped in. Following all the messy activities is "cleaning up" in the sink, one of Brady's most favorite things to do!

Oh yes we also went to a pottery place the other day with Grammy and made a mosaic lizard and painted a race car piggy bank. He is in love with the piggy bank, all we do now is take the money out and put the money in!

Snow!

Snow! Brady loves it so we got bundled up and played for almost an hour! His favorite part was when I taught him to lick the clean snow. . . see below pictures!

Christmas, Pretzels, Ice Cream, Paint. . .

The prize of Christmas. . . the power wheel Lightning McQueen that he can drive. This puts the total number of power wheel vehicles that he owns to 4! That is more than the number of cars that Josh and I both will own in our lifetime probably! The best part is they have all been free-thanks to Grandma and her boss who has grandchildren that are no longer using them!
Like father like son. . . it doesn't matter really what is on the tv, both Brady and Josh will just zone out and stare. I believe this was Brady's Curious George movie that Grammy got him. Notice the robe. . . we call him Lil Hef.

The one and only best present for kids and adults alike. . . a remote controlled bulldozer that is the loudest toy we own and gets played with the most!

Making Auntie Annes pretzels with Grammy. He had a wonderful time kneading the dough, rolling it out and cutting it. The he made his very own little pretzels. They turned out really well and were super tasty!

Making homemade ice cream with Hailey and Aidan. Who knew that a baggie full of ice and rock salt would turn cream, sugar and vanilla into super tasty ice cream! The kids loved making it and the outcome is wonderful!
Keeping busy on these horribly cold and snowy days. . . how many more until spring? Today we painted and then I let Brady clean up, which included painting in the sink and probably making a bigger mess than the actual painting process had but oh well, it was fun and it passed the time! We also built a huge road throughout the downstairs of our house, it's a mess but again fun and time consuming!
